2D CREATURE


Almost my signature type of image. I've been creating monsters and creatures in some form or other since I can remember. Most of the images in this gallery have started out as pencil sketches or speed paints and many of them are for use as reference images for 3D models.

This collection includes fantasy creatures and creatures taken straight out of nature. As most of my work will have some grounding in a real animal of some type (certainly in its anatomy) I decided to group them all together.

I have a love of arachnids so there are a fair few spiders and assorted insects to be found in here!


CONCEPT ART: CREATURE OF THE WEEK (C.O.W)

I have been a member of the forum at www.conceptart.org for many years now and I try to join the daily sketch group as much as possible. I also try to contribute to the C.O.W or creature of the week. It is a weekly challenge to create a creature from a given description. It is an awesome way to improve your creature designing skills and lets you see how other people would interpet the same brief.
