The initial requirement for the CD was a cover
that had a number of `fold out` flaps, professional
looking design with a subtle colour scheme,
standard u-net logos and fonts. To give an example
of the finished cover I decided to produce:

  1. 1.A front cover with sample text
  2. 2.The rear cover with credits
  3. 3.Inside first flap with instalation information

I started by doing quick `sketchy` images with
Photoshop. When I had an idea I liked I would
change it a few times with various Kai Power
tools. I saved a small image each time I found an idea
that worked. After a while I ended up with around 30
ideas to choose from. The one idea that worked really
well was the `flying CD`, which eventually was chosen
for the final design.

Based on the visuals the CD cover was to have a `CD` flying
out to the left of cover leaving a motion trail in a rainbow
fashion. I looked at a number of colour scheme. (see opposite).

The main u-net logo `circle` is produced in blue . It was felt
that the CD should reflect this and be produced in a deep, midnight
blue with white lettering.

The large image below is how I presented the final ideas to U-net. I decided
in the end to have the `CD` image wrapping around the cover to the backside
which seemed to work and give some continuity to the cover. The text was put
on the images to give a rough idea of layout and composition .The fonts were to
remain the same (Ariel and Impact).
